What's a mystery quilt event? Participants in the event receive templates to create a quilt without having seen the final design. For this Ships & Violins event, participants will be making a Constellations Series-inspired wall hanging (24" x 24"). If you like The Square of Pegasus, Orion's Spur, Arcturus Shield or Lyra's Hymn you'll love the fifth design!
How does it work?
You must be registered to participate. A few weeks before the event, participants will receive an update with information on fabric requirements, colour palette tips and options, and materials required to guide them in preparing for the event.
During the event, participants receive a set number of templates per week until all templates have been revealed. Weekly time commitment will range between 30mins to 1 hour. Once all the templates have been pieced, you'll receive instructions for the final assembly and your own PDF copy of the pattern.
I've never paper pieced. Can I still participate?
Yes! Absolutely. In fact, you may feel less intimidated by the technique if you approach it one template at a time. I'll be available to provide support and share tips and tricks to ensure you're successful!
Why participate?
It's a great way to get to know other quilters and be part of an exclusive experience! The first MQAL held in 2021 was a fantastic success!
When does it start?
Participants will receive an update before the start date in April 2022. The event will begin in May 2022.
Will cutting instructions be provided?
There will not be any cutting instructions provide with your weekly templates, however, I will include helpful videos to guide you.
Are their weekly prizes?
I'm still deciding on this. Stay tuned.

The event has a fee of $10.50 USD.
Why isn't this event free?
Participants will receive the full PDF pattern (valued at $10.50) at the event's conclusion.
