This was my @curatedquilts mini challenge entry, Wicker & Glass I.I've been wanting to experiment with this concept for some time, and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.The challenge's theme of "utility" was a tricky one, but I think the literal wicker and glass fit the bill. A utility piece must serve a purpose, that is, be useful. This project is a literal representation of the wicker technique that we see used in a variety of ways.In this case the mini quilt zooms in on the narrowing neck of a wicker basket, with a bottle green demijohn peeking through the uneven weave....

Introducing my new quilt pattern, Fountain View! This design is the first in my Modern Medallion Series. The throw quilt measures 64'' x 70'', and uses curved piecing (25%) and fusible or needle-turn appliqué (75%).
