Introducing my new quilt pattern, Fountain View! This design is the first in my Modern Medallion Series. The throw quilt measures 64'' x 70'', and uses curved piecing (25%) and fusible or needle-turn appliqué (75%). The pattern is now available in a PDF version and paper version.
Wondering why I named it Fountain View? Let me explain...
We can all recall a moment where we stepped up to the edge of a fountain with a coin clenched in our hand.
It may have been the grand fountains of Italy surrounded by manicured gardens of the richest green, or the mosaic tiled fountains in chlorine-scented malls.
No matter the location, it's likely you peered over the edge into the shallow pool and wondered, 'what if?'
You probably glimpsed into your own unwritten future and filled it with aspirations. The aspirations that feel slightly out of reach, but not impossible. The aspirations that pull you through another day with the greatest expectations for the next one.
That's the Fountain View.
It's the single thought contained between a coin jumping from your hand and landing in the shallow, replenishing waters of a fountain. It's the act of hope - of seeing things a little differently than they are.
Have you stopped to enjoy the fountain view lately?
